Sophia Tezel-Tzelepis launched her first collection in the 90s, “IS by Sophia Tezel,” which was sold in Barney’s, Fred Segal, Bergorf Goodman, and more. She continued to work in consulting and creative direction in the following years. Today, Sophia has begun to design once again, but this time with a focus on denim. Her most recent collection, “Sophia,” incorporates elements of 60s aesthetics, particularly inspired by the iconic fashion choices of Jane Birkin, Françoise Hardy, and Jean Shrimpton. Isolating her focus on denim has granted her the opportunity to perfect the details of each design, resulting in garments that are form-flattering, timeless, and distinctive.
