Repetto crafts ballerina pointe shoes, ballet flats, shoes, perfume, and dancer’s clothing. After Rose Repetto made her first ballet shoe in the 1940s, the brand accelerated in popularity among French pop culture's favorites, creating the “Cendrillon” ballet flat at the request of Brigitte Bardot in the ‘50s, and gaining Serge Gainsbourg as brand ambassador in the ‘70s. After Jean-Marc Gaucher took over in 1999, Repetto went on to collaborate with designers such as Issey Miyake, Yohji Yamamoto, Comme des Garçons, and Karl Lagerfeld. To this day, Repetto maintains its reputable quality-ensuring craftsmanship, utilizing their original “stitch and return” method. Repetto offers ready-to-wear dancer-inspired garments, clothing for professional dancers, pointe shoes for ballerinas, and a variety of shoes for formal and everyday wear.
