Every era makes its mark in music, but the 80s has a special place in the heart of many. 80s music crossed generation gaps, it appealed to all generations because it was played on TV in music videos. I remember watching MTV with my grandparents, my parents, my peers and even with kids I babysat. We all enjoyed watching the stories of the songs unravel in the music videos. Even though alternative Punk Rock was my first choice when I bought records, I grew up with bands like Duran Duran, ABC and Bow Wow Wow, making all the music from this era nostalgic for me. Between the hair, fashion and Valley Girl lingo, there is a certain culture that came along with growing up in the 80s too. I feel so fortunate that I grew up in that era and I know my kids are a little jealous too.
