Mona Model: Christina

Christina is a Los Angeles-based artist exploring various mediums including video art, photography, design, and music.  Having recently modeled Lemaire and Ann Demeulemeester for Mona Moore, we thought we'd take a moment to get to know her better...

MM: How old are you?

C: 30

MM: Where do you work when not modeling for Mona Moore?

C: I produce photography and video content for a brand of boxing and karate gear called ProForce.  I spend half my time doing that and half my time working on photography and video projects for myself or friends.  All work takes place in my home.

MM: When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

C: I have always wanted to be a film director, but there was a brief time that I wanted to be a psychologist.

MM: What/Who is a primary source of your creative inspiration?

C: Fairy Tales, Alfred Hitchcock, Bill Viola, masks, tragedy, the unknown...

MM: If you could meet anyone from any time period, who would it be?

C: Love this question and I cannot answer with an interesting historical figure such as Joan of Arc (even though that would be cool) because I still want to meet David Lynch so bad and he still lives in our current time period.  So my answer is David Lynch

MM: What era of fashion appeals to you most?

C: 17th century New England Puritans.

MM: An afternoon of viewing art... museum or gallery?

C: I would have to say Museum.  Love a good 5 hours of contemporary art exploration.

MM: Where is the last place you traveled to?

C: I just drove across the country to NYC and back so we went to a ton of amazing places in between— SW Utah being my favorite.

MM: What is your favorite song to dance to?

C: Severed Heads - We have come to bless the house

MM: Where do you want to be in 10 years?

C: Still making video art and playing more music.  Traveling a lot, potentially living bicoastal.
